Automatic Reinforcing Mesh Welding Line
The Automatic Reinforcing Mesh Welding Line (Model GWC1600/2500) is designed to pay off, straighten, feed, weld, pull, cut and coil steel wire with minimal manual intervention. Sensors and a central PLC coordinate every station, while chromium-zirconium copper electrodes and water-cooled transformers keep weld quality stable during long production runs. All units are manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards.
Key Features of the Automatic Reinforcing Mesh Welding Line
- Continuous longitudinal-wire monitoring with shortage and break alarms
- Servo-indexed cross-wire feeding and synchronized wire accumulation
- Up to 80 welding cycles per minute with closed-loop water cooling
- Automatic cutting for panels and optional coiling for roll output
- Touchscreen recipes, station-level diagnostics and safe alarm shutdown
- Custom mesh width, transformer capacity, electrode count and automation level
Production Process
How the Automatic Reinforcing Mesh Welding Line Works
Wire monitoring
Sensors detect a low or broken longitudinal wire and identify the affected feed position before defective mesh reaches the next station.
Payoff and straightening
Heavy-duty payoff stands and two-stage straightening remove coil set and keep every line wire flat before welding.
Wire accumulation
A balancing station compensates for small feed differences so all longitudinal wires enter the welding head at a consistent tension.
Cross-wire feeding
A high-capacity magazine separates and indexes one pre-cut cross wire for each welding cycle.
Resistance welding
Water-cooled transformers and chromium-zirconium copper electrodes provide repeatable weld energy across the full mesh width.
Cutting or coiling
Finished mesh can be cut into specified panel lengths or wound into rolls according to the production order.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Automatic Reinforcing Mesh Welding Line
Q: What wire diameter and mesh sizes can this line produce?
A: The line handles wire diameters from 3.0mm to 8.0mm, with mesh widths of 1600mm or 2500mm and panel lengths up to 6000mm. Cross-wire spacing starts from 50mm and above, while longitudinal spacing ranges from 100mm to 300mm, allowing flexible configurations for different reinforcing mesh specifications.
Q: Can this line produce both roll mesh and cut panels?
A: Yes, the output can be configured for either roll mesh or cut panels, depending on your production requirements.
Q: What welding speed can I expect from this line?
A: The line operates at 60–80 welding cycles per minute, supported by 125 KVA transformer banks (4 or 6 units) and 16 or 24 electrode pairs for stable, high-output production.
Q: Do you provide after-sales support and training?
A: Yes, we provide installation guidance, operator training and technical support to ensure smooth production after delivery.
